Andrew Anders

Dipl. Ac., LAc

At graduation with Sensei Naoki Kubota

I am a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCBAHM) and a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Michigan with training emphasizing Japanese acupuncture, moxibustion, and traditional Japanese teate-based therapy.

I graduated in 2024 from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine.

In addition, I have extensive extra training in Japanese and Daoist medical methods including ongoing study of the Ishizaka style of Japanese Edo-era samurai acupuncture, transmitted through Sensei Naoki Kubota

At the Kakikofu clinic In Japan with Sensei Hiroshi Yamamoto

In 2022 I traveled to the Kakikofu Clinic in Tokyo for training with Sensei Hiroshi Yamamoto. There I studied Japanese hari (acupuncture), kyū/okyū (moxibustion), kikō (Japanese Qigong), and seitai (Japanese bodywork) in a traditional Japanese clinical setting.

With Dai Shihan Robert Fueston

With over 20 years of practice (since 2005), I am formally trained in Usui Shiki Reiki Ryōhō (臼井式靈氣療法) within the Usui–Hayashi–Takata–Brown–Goslen–Fueston lineage.

I received direct, in-clinic training and in-person lineage transmission from Dai-Shihan Robert Fueston.

My training is expressed clinically through teate (hands-on therapeutic work) as transmitted within this lineage.

In Malaysia with Dr. Wilson Yong

I am also a 31st-generation inner student of Sifu Wilson Yong in the Xuan Yang Tian Fa Men Daoist lineage.

I received formal lineage initiation in person and traveled to Malaysia in 2022 and 2025 for direct instruction. Training covers the five Daoist arts and includes traditional Daoist herbal medicine, topical medicine, and Zhu You imperial medical methods.

Teaching Taekwondo

In addition to my medical training, I am a lifelong martial artist, holding the rank of Sixth Degree Master of Kukkiwon Taekwondo (國技院 跆拳道) and Fifth Degree Master in Hoijeon Moosool (回轉武術).

My clinical work reflects an integration of this training in classical medicine, martial arts and cultivation.
